Dr Trish made the decision that the first IDO competition which would have Ireland representation was the IDO World Tap Dance Championships, Nov 2021.

With this decision plans began

  • Developing a plan to get to the Worlds
  • Forming a Committee: web, social media, registration, travel, tracksuits, image, etc
  • Selecting and engaging with a Creative Team (containing global tap dance talent)
  • Creating a Tap Dance Development Plan
  • Engaging with the dance community across Ireland and holding auditions
  • Selecting and starting to train Team Ireland

Wow!! what a journey so far. Exciting to be training a team to represent Ireland on the world stage. I am so proud of everyone who is involved
